Volleyball, perhaps one of the most widely known sports in the world, is, like many other sports, one that had very humble beginnings, but blossomed into a fad that swept across the world in the space of a few years. It is unarguably one of the most popular sports in the Philippines alongside basketball.
I believe a large number of the students in SNMMSI are familiar with the famous volleyball players in our nation; this includes Alyssa Valdez, Jaja Santiago, and Kim Fajardo. Some of you may even inspire to be like them.
However, you may not have the chance to practice the sport at your home, considering you might not have an appropriate field or room for that nor do you have a volleyball net. On the other hand, SNMMSI gives you the chance to play volleyball, enhance your skills and to guide you in preparing to become an aspiring volleyball player. Here, our school provides you a gym, a net, and fellow students who share a common interest for volleyball.
Volleyball, however, might include excessive sweating, floor burns as well as injuries which you will have to endure if you’re passionate enough to continue playing the sport. To be a good volleyball player, you should not only possess the trait of being agile and strong, but it also takes sportsmanship, motivation, passion, and determination.
