Policy Principles

  • Make quality junior high school (JHS) education accessible by providing financial assistance to deserving elementary school graduates who wish to study in private junior high schools
​
  • The ESC is a concrete demonstration of public-private partnership in education and this partnership is sought in all levels of the program’s operations.
​
Eligibility
​

  • Elementary graduate from a Public or DepEd Recognized Elementary School

  • Incoming Grade 7 student

  • Has not been a recipient of the ESC in the previous school years

  • Filipino citizen

Requirements for Admission

  • ESC Application Form (Downloadable)

  • Recent Identical 2x2 ID Photo (2 copies)

  • Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Certified Birth Certificate

  • Grade 6 Report Card

  • Proof of Income (Income Tax Return)

  • School Committee evaluation form

Policy Principles

  • Increase the diversity of SHS providers beyond the current configuration

  • Provide greater choice to students and their families in deciding the SHS program that caters to their needs and career goals

  • Per DO 11, s. 2015, the SHS VP intends to: uphold the right to quality basic education and increase access in SHS

Requirements for Admission
​

  • QVR Certificate (Downloadable)

  • Recent Identical 2x2 ID Photo (2 copies)

  • PSA Certified Birth Certificate

  • Grade 10 Report Card

NOTE: The school provides assistance in processing the voucher for those grade 10 completers who have not yet applied.

Eligibility
- Automatically Qualified Students

  • Category A: All Grade 10 completers in Public JSHs

  • Category B: All Grade 10 completers in SUCs and LUCs

  • Category C: All Grade 10 completers in private schools who are ESC
    grantees

- Voucher Applicants

  • Category D: All Grade 10 completers in private schools who are not ESC grantees and wish to avail of the voucher subsidy in order to enroll in a non-DepEd SHS

  • Category B: Students who took/will take the Alternative Learning System (ALS) Accreditation and Equivalency (A&E) Test and the Philippine Educational Placement Test (PEPT) in SY 2017-2018; Passed and have been certified for admission to Grade 11 in SY 2018-2019; Provided also that they received their certification not later than May 31,2018
