When you hear the word “library”, you will immediately think of a collection of books or a room full of books and they say books are the food of the brain.
The club is all about the library. The members are trained how to be a librarian the members should also know the physical arrangement of the books as well the documents of the library. Being a librarian is hard because not only you arrange books but also facilitating the students entering in the library, but in the Junior librarian’s club you will be trained about the library and its parts. The moderator of the club is, Ms. Jeanmie Ladrona. She is also the official librarian of the school.
“The goal of the club is to educate students about the uses of books and the encourage students to be a librarian” said Ms. Jeanmie Ladrona. The club also encourage the students to value books, same as value yourself. In the club, you will be doing a lot of things such as arranging the books to its proper place, reading books, and learn the rules and regulations of the club.
In this era, technology is frequently used instead of books they read E-books or Wattpad. Libraries are important because when you read at a library it will be quiet where you can read books at peace and you can also make friends at the library, where you can find people that love books.
Ms. Jeanmie also said that the reason why she made the club because she wants to encourage students to love the library and love books as much as she loves them. She also said that librarians are in demand in the Philippines and we rarely see young librarians because most of the librarians are old.
